Mad Movie Guy

So Im sitting here watching the Will Ferrell version of Bewitched, cause Im bored out of my mind, and it was on my on demand system that we finally got here in salem, which has lead to watching some interesting shit, last night, Three to Tango, which quite frankly, was a movie that I couldnt fucking stand 9 years ago, when it first came out, nine years are you fucking kidding me, that movie is due up for its goddamn 10 year Special 3 disc limited edition director’s, editor’s, producer’s, gaffer’s, caterer’s cut, which an alternate ending, and 36 deleted scenes. Ten years Ago, I went to see that movie alone, I was really into it at the time (not much has changed) and I thought it was godawful, to the point where, I had actually forgotten completly about it’s exisitence untill I stumbled across it in a menu on my DVR, which led me to think to myself “maybe its time to give it a second viewing” are you shitting me, I tricked myself into watching it again, in its completely contrived form and complete lack of originality, which reminded me of the movie I watched the night before. Which I completely admit, I have been putting off for years, and it was another one that I needed to watch, cause it won a best picture oscar, I had borrowed it from my mom when I was really into the best picture run, and I never watched it, had it for probably 2 years, and two different living situations, the reason I n ever got around to it was due to that steaming pile of rotten rat shit “out of africa”, anyways, I was thinking about how completely original Annie Hall was, just the thought of writing something like that makes me wanna check myself into an insane asylum (which I should probably do anyway) it was so fucking layered, it was like an onion on HGH. It really is a goddamn masterpiece, watch it, like yesterday if you havent seen it. So I fucking loved that movie, and then I was getting ready to put myself through a complete bag of douche as a movie ? Turns out, I had changed more over the years than I thought.

Well here we are, Oscars 2008, live on the internet, with a god forsaken horse shit windows computer, cause I cant set up a fucking network at my moms house, and I have to use some goddamn non ergo/non laptop keyboard, which I cant fucking handle for shit.

Let met start it all off by saying the first award of the night was handed out today at the Mid-Valley film festival to my brothers for The Discusting Little Shiver. So congrats to them for getting yet another award, and honestly are legitimate film-makers. So bravo kids.

Alrighty, Im gonna crap one more of these out for the day, and then Im gonna take a break, tomorrow is a big day, not only do we have the oscars, but my brothers have their film up for some awards as well. So that should be cool, and for the first time in many moons, we are all gonna be together on oscar day, which means, sushi!!, ribs!!!, arguments!!!! and everything else that goes along with it. So in honor of that, I am gonna be doing something a little different with my oscar blog, at least I am gonna try, Im gonna do the diary like I do every year, but Im gonna keep it going live on the internet, so it should be updated every few mins or so. So keep checking in, that way, the mad movie guy can watch the oscars with each and every one of you, who’s excited ? Hopefully I dont come across some wicked finger injury or something that cripples me. Im rambling now, because I dont wanna write this blog, cause its too fuckin hard to grade it. Are you all as sick of reading this shit, as I am of writing it ? Aww fuck it Im just pulling your leg, if I could snag a job where I had to write about the oscars every day, I would totally fucking take it, cause the oscars arent just a one day thing, when you are like me, they are something always in the back of your mind, every time you walk into a movie theater, and trek out, and think to yourself, hey this one would make a good best picture nominee, or this is one movie that they art directed the fuck out of. There is also a good chance that I am going mad, on the pre oscar rush, 24 hours from now, we are all gonna see whats for, untill then, lets get into it for the second to last time. The best director catagory always cracks me up, cause if a movie was the best directed movie, how can it not be the best picture ? Yeah, Im still bitter about the Brokeback/Crash travesty from a few years back.

Imagine someone sat down with you at a table, and they said, I have 5 Best Buy gift certificates, you can only have one of em, there are no tricks here, and Im going to tell you the value of each and every one of them. Three of them are for one hundred dollars. One of them is for 1000 dollars, and the fifth and final one is for five thousand dollars. All five are infront of you, and clearly labeled, all you have to do is reach out and grab one. Your gonna take the one for 5 grand right ? Of course, now apply that debate to the Best Actor race, cause if anyone can fuck it up, its the Acadmey of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
