Ok, lets see where to begin…
Ok how about here, we were going up against, a Sundance finalist, and movie that’s had a theatrical run up in Portland already. Now I’m a competitor, and I love to win, but I’m also kind of a pessimist. They announced some of the other winners for short films, and so on, and I’m getting nervous, it looked like you get to go up and “accept the award” and “give a speech” Yippee, public speaking for me is no big deal…however..sober public speaking as never been attempted for me… oh well. I’m a pessimist, we don’t stand a chance anyways.

Dear god.. where to begin.
Today was so stressful, I had family acting like children and throwing tantrums, I had to juggle more than I’ve ever had to juggle… make sure 18 people got in with only 12 tickets, one being a minor at a 21 and over showing. So I had my work cut out for me. The day consisted of numerous phone calls from various family members, saying “BLAH BLAH BLAH”

It went well, smaller crowd than I had hoped, but I got to tell my “casino story” which if you have heard you know how funny that is.. If you haven’t next time I see you ask, I only tell that bad mama jamma in person, and for good reason, I tell it well.
Anyways, people laughed a lot, the director of the film which is playing before the one I’m in was there, and he really liked it. He didn’t look to happy that his was playing directly before this juggernaut but that’s life right ?

2:30 pm: Off work, heading over to where the Question and answer session is to be held down town.
2:55 pm: Arrive at address given to me by the festival coordinator. The address is for “Exit the Real World” a local skate/punk shop… This is not right. And this is important so I can’t let my little brothers down.
3:02 pm: Feel a moment of shame when I call Sarah Ramage to help me find the place, she’s pretty dialed in as far as “people in Salem” goes so I figure she would know where it is, she’s of no help to me. She can’t even look up the address online because you guessed it, she’s at a bar. This is of no real shock to me.

Some of you know, and some of you do not. But all this weekend I’m going to be at the mid valley video festival representing my little brothers film “Suzanne” which I’m in. And quite frankly a bit hesitant about seeing my self on the big screen, I always knew at some point in my life I would make it to the silver screen like so many legends before me, Charlton Heston, Mickey Rooney, Jimmy Stewart, John Wayne, Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Dean Martin to name but a few with equal talent as mine. But now that the time is here and now, I am bit taken aback. Anyways, Ill be posting a running blog/diary of things that happen through out the weekend, If your bored and want a reason to make fun of me till then end of time check out http://mvvfest.org/ for showtimes, or ask me I have a few seats reserved for what will surely be an interesting weekend.
