Mad Movie Guy

So here is what Im thinking, for years, Ive heard this, “there are prunes” in Dr Pepper battle cry from people. I’ve never seen “prunes” on the label, only shit like phenylalanine. Which doesnt sound a lot like prunes to me. Now there is also a good chance in the days of yore, I may have even said there are prunes in the Peppered Dr, but today, as I walked up the stairs, I vowed to use the power of the interwebs for good, and find out once and for all the status of the old Prunes in Dr Pepper myth, and you know what, Myth BUSTED. There are no goddamned prunes in Dr Pepper, not that I would care anyways cause prunes really arent all that bad, I mean fuck its not like people were saying there were goddamned onions in the shit, just prunes, and hell it would be kinda refreshing to find some actual fruit in a bottle of soda. Lets just say, Im not getting my vitamin C from sunkist.

Honestly I dont know what the deal is about the infrequency of my writing, its pissing me off, as Im sure it is driving you all up the wall too. I mean how can you all function with out the ramblings of your leader. I dunno, its gotta be rough, I do not envy you. Lets see, I got tickets to Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennesse for this summer, which I had no plans on attending untill I got a text message tuesday after work, 24 hours later, I had a 4 day pass and plane tickets booked. So I guess Im going to Tennesee. Im pretty stoked about that, and could use a real vacation. I finally saw the black and white version of “The Mist” and it blew my mind, so fucking intense, and as unreal as ever. Oh today at work, I saw a news story on CNN or one of the dozen other news sites I constantly read, cause I dont know what the fuck Ive turned into, and I dont know if I like it or not, anyways, this story had a title something along the lines of “Rent Val Kilmer’s Bed” I of course clicked on it, and it was about how he is renting out his ranch in New Mexico. You can imagine my dissapointment.

I’ve been slowing my DVD purchasing down to a halt, Ive been somewhat taken aback, by the recent format wars, which I unfortuantly picked the losing side of, and now I am stuck with a player and eleven movies which have now been rendered a dead technology, all the while, Im trying to decide to purchase a bunch of the HD dvd formats while I still can and while they are on sale, or waiting around, and just buying a Blu Ray player and starting a new collection, on the right platform. Its all rather stressful, and I dont want to really get into it all. In the last several weeks I have only manged 3 new DVD purchases, and they are as follows.

Remember how I ended my last post… “I think I wanna go buy more dvds” or some shit to that effect, well I did, I went nuts. I really think that one of these days, someone is gonna ask me what the hell I am doing and Im just gonna break down crying saying that I know I fucked up, I know I fucked up, over and over again. I even went to Best Buy on my lunch break today to get a KEY addition to my collection. Which at the rate I am going, I will not need untill the end of the year untill I hit 1000 dvds, could happen by my birthday. A lot of the following were such good deals that I couldnt say no, even though I have never heard off them, and had to scour the shelves looking for something else to buy just so I could get the good deal. Crazy I tell you, CRAZY!!

I forgot I picked up some DVDs during the week too. Which should come as no suprize to you all. Oh yeah, I had way more DVDs than I thought I did when I wrote about it, remember how I said I filled up 5 garbage bags ? It was 6, I counted, Ive got 750 dvds, thats sick, who needs all that crap, I have two copies of several movies, I dont even know how that happens, Its a sickness I tell ya, anyways, I had to buy more, cause I need to get to 1000 before the new year, which shouldnt really be a problem, plus I know Ive got at least 20 DVDs out in the field with friends and family, and so on.
